Why not use ICS (Interchain Security) to bootstrap security?

We plan to have a relatively small validator set at launch. Sunny from Osmosis introduced mesh security as a concept during the Cosmoverse as a way to implement Interchain Security, so in our future efforts towards stronger decentralization, we could take advantage of that. Even more so, the technology would have been tested by then, and we could better gauge the benefits for the Nolus Protocol.
